The constitution of ESI was made way back in 2003. Recently in the last General Body Meeting on 15 th November 2024 some amendments have been made as follows :-

1. The name core committee/ managing committee has been replaced by the term Governing body.Tenure of Governing body members & committee members will be for the next 3 years from today.
2. Three vice Presidents have been included.
3. After 3 years the election will be held for the formation of the next Governing body.
4. ‘International Academic Advisory Board’ has been formed where International Members have been upgraded to this special board. Secretary General will be the chairman of that board.
5. A Membership drive committee has been formed to increase the number of national members.
6. ESI chapter concept might be abolished gradually as secretary General proposed for easier control of the society by the President.
7. President will inform the Governing body members on their responsibilities.
8. Secretary General suggested to give definite responsibilities to the Vice presidents & the Zonal coordinator’s activities might be shifted on them gradually.
